Willard McRae Scholarship |
Are you a high school senior about to graduate and planning to continue your education with the goal of a career in psychology, mental health services, education, social work, or human services? Then you may wish to apply for the Willard McRae Scholarship! This $5,000 award is given annually in honor of Willard McRae, past chairman of the board of directors of Liberty Bank.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Willard McRae Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Graduating from a high school in a town served by Liberty Bank. For a list of locations, visit www.liberty-bank.com/locations
- Enrolling in an accredited college, university, trade school or other institution of higher education
- Parent/Guardian (if student is under age of 18) or student is willing to share their story with Liberty Bank and consent to the story being displayed on Liberty Bank website, social channels, etc.
- Family members of Liberty Bank employees are not eligible to participate
- Previous recipients of the Willard McRae Scholarship are not eligible
How to Apply
Please complete all requested information, including your signature and that of your parent/guardian (if you are under 18 years old), and attach the following documents:
· Your Student Aid Report (SAR) – please include ALL pages!
· Your official transcript from your high school
· A list of your employment, extracurricular and/or community activities
· A written letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, or administrator
· A 500-1000 word essay you wrote on any topic of your choice
You can submit an application online via the link provided on www.liberty-bank.com . Your completed application, along with all supporting documents, must be submitted no later than Friday, May 22, 2026.
We cannot consider applications that are late, incomplete, or missing any of the supporting documents.
